HDP deputies on hunger strike in front of UN
 
 DTK (Democratic Society Congress) co-president and HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) Şırnak deputy Selma Irmak, Van MP Kemal Aktaş, Istanbul deputy Sebahat Tuncel and former MEP Feleknaz Uca, a current member of the executive board of the DTK, have started hunger strike in front of the United Nations building in Geneva to call attention to the ongoing attacks of ISIS gangs on the Kobanê Canton of West Kurdistan.

AKP opens hospital for ISIS members in Antep
 
 While Turkey’s support for ISIS continues to be debated, it has emerged that a ‘Jihadi hospital’ has been opened for ISIS members in the city of Antep (Gaziantep). Officials at the hospital made no effort to conceal state support for the bringing of gang members, saying: “we come from the border entirely under state supervision”.

People  shot with live ammunition at Kobanê border
 
 People gathering in the area where solidarity tents with the Kobanê resistance were destroyed by Turkish soldiers have been attacked by Turkish troops and police with water cannons and teargas at the border of Kobanê yesterday. Troops are also reported to have fired live ammunition.

Erdoğan  confirms bargaining with ISIS
 
 Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan has confirmed that there was bargaining with ISIS regarding the release of 49 consular staff. He said: “It was a question of political bargaining,” and did not refute claims of a ‘swap’.

German  Left Party delegation to go to Rojava border
 
 Following ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and al Sham) gang attacks on the Kobanê canton of Rojava, Left Party (Die Linke) member of the German Federal Parliament and the president of the Federal Parliament’s United Nations sub-commission, Heike Hänsel, and a member of the board of the Left Party’s Baden Würtemberg province, Gökay Akbulut, are to go to the Turkey-Syria border in order to carry out observations.

 Three ISIS members captured by YPG fighters as they tried to cross the border from Turkey into Kobanê were found to have Belgian and French citizenship. The three, two of them Belgian and one French, were captured as they tried to cross the border yesterday evening.

Kirkuk  Governor: Guerrillas played a major role in defence of Kirkuk
 
 Kirkuk Governor Najmiddin Karim said the guerrilla forces played a major role in the defence of Sinjar, Makhmur and Kirkuk, adding: “all our forces fought side by side and prevented the enemy entering Kirkuk.”

 PYD Co-President Salih Muslim said Kobanê was involved in a great resistance to the attacks of ISIS gangs, adding: “whoever is going to do something for Kobanê should do it now”, calling on tribes in Urfa, Suruç and Ceylanpınar in particular to rise up.

ISIS  carried out a massacre in villages in Tel Hamis
 
 Residents in the villages of Tel Hamis, that have been taken from ISIS by YPG forces, have talked about the savagery perpetrated by the ISIS gangs. Villagers said the gangs had threatened to chop off their heads and had raped women.

Is demand for mother tongue education terrorist propaganda?
The People’s Democratic Party (HDP) has taken the issue of sealing the doors of schools opened to provide education in Kurdish to the Turkish parliament by submitting a parliamentary question to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Efgan Ala. Turkish  soldiers shoot two Rojava shepherds
 
 Turkish troops are continuing to open fire with impunity on the border between North and West Kurdistan. Soldiers, who have carried out dozens of extra judicial executions, have now shot two shepherds tending their animals in Rojava (West Kurdistan).

No solution without education in mother tongue
 
 Istanbul branches of Peoples’ Democratic Congress (HDK), Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) and Party of Democratic Regions (DBP) and Istanbul Kurdish Institute have protested the sealing of the doors of the Dibistana Seretayî a Ferzad Kemangar-Ferzad Kemanger primary school opened in the Baglar district of Amed (Diyarbakır) to give education in Kurdish yesterday, the first day of the 2014-2015 school term.

900  French citizens recruited to Islamic State jihad
 
 France’s interior minister Bernard Cazeneuve has stated that nearly 900 French citizens have travelled to the Middle East to fight on the side of Islamist groups in Syria and Iraq and some have joined the Islamic State militias.
